This article describes how to prepare a Hanwha camera for Genetec and Milestone.

Preparing a Camera

Preparing a Hanwha camera can be done via Wisenet Device Manager in bulk or via the camera UI for individual cameras.

To prepare via Wisenet Device Manager:

1. In Wisenet Device Manager, scan the local network to find cameras.
   
   
   
   
2. Click Credential and set a password for the cameras.
   
   
3. Select Login / Change Password.
   
   
   
   
4. Enter the password twice and click Apply.
   
   The Result column shows Success when done.
   
   
5. Select IP Assign > Assign the following IP address.
   
   
6. Set IP information as needed.
   
   
7. Click Simulate > Apply.
   
   

   NOTE: If you are using DHCP, ensure it is with reservation, as cameras 
   changing IP addresses can cause issues in most VMS platforms.

   
   
   
   
8. With the cameras still selected, click on Date & Time.
   
   
   
9. Select the Time Zone, checking DST, if needed.
   
   
10. Select Synchronize with NTP Server. 
    
    
11. Enter at least one NPT address that the cameras can access.
    
    
12. Click Start to push the settings.
