QNV-8080R shown as "Unauthorized"
We have two Unauthorized shown as "Unauthorized" but they worked well before. We pre-configured everything in our office, the cameras and the Wisenet server and client and we could view the real time image from client which means the credentials in client match the cameras'. But a few weeks later, the Wisenet client can't view the real time image of the cameras. We have never changed the credentials after installations were done. What should we do to solve the issue?

Hi Martin,
Thank you for your enquiry.
The unauthorized message that you are seeing on the Hanwha device is actually cyber security measure that you are experiencing. Typically if there is more than one system requesting connection to the camera and the correct authentication method isn't provided this is what you will see.
So I would make sure that you don't have anything else on the network that is requesting a connection of the camera without authentication.
There are a few ways that you can raise a ticket with Hanwha Oceania support you can either simply email the support team directly on support@hanwhavision.zendesk.com. Alternatively you can sign up to this portal and simply use the drop down menu and submit a ticket and you will then be prompted to create a ticket and manage it as shown below.

By the way, how to raise issue ticket to Hanwha support?

I rebooted the two cameras without making any configuration changes and issue fixed.
Hope Hanwha technical support engineers to give instructions on how to avoid the issue happen again.

This is a known issue with several of the new AI cameras, XXX-CXXXX or I call them C series even though that isn't a thing. Really annoying, reboot gets them working again for a awhile but once it says unauthorized it doesn't matter if its the server, different computers, getting into the web interface or in wisenet you can't login even with the correct creds. You have to reboot to get a window of time to get back in. I had some success with some beta firmware's when this first started. I see a full official update is out so I'm going to try that now.

Hi Russell,
Thank you for your input on the subject as this is a common report from a few installers that we have from time to time. Firmware is definitely a great step moving forward and if you are still experiencing issues kindly log a ticket with the Hanwha support team and we can investigate this further for you.
Some installers have also tried clearing browser cache in some cases resolves the issue but a Wireshark trace is often the best place to start to identify the devices communication and unauthorized access message.

Thank you Hanwha support, and thank you Russell,
My scenario is there is only a Wisenet Wave server and a client and a few Hanwha cameras. There is no any other client or web browser trying to connect the cameras. The Wisenet wave client could show the real images of the cameras for a few weeks until issue happened, which was the client show the cameras as "Unauthorized". Without doing anything else but just rebooting the cameras, issue was fixed. (Our PoE switch has a function to power cycle the connected devices which makes the cameras rebooted). I checked recording and found during the period of "Unauthorized", the server couldn't record anything from the cameras.
Our scenario is not "Typically if there is more than one system requesting connection to the camera and the correct authentication method isn't provided this is what you will see.", but must be something else, because only the Wisenet wave server have connections to cameras and it had already been configured correct credentials and no one had made any change otherwise, rebooting cameras only couldn't fix the issue.

Hi Martin,
Thank you for the update and the clarification.
One other option that can be set from within Wave is to disable the auto discovery setting within the system administration settings as defined below to see if that also assists you.
If this doesn't work then it could very well be firmware related issue as there was a new firmware released earlier this year, here is the link https://update.hanwha-security.com/FW/NW_Camera/QNO8080R_Series/QNO-8080R_1.42.01_20240329_R388.zip
