What is the maximum characters allowed in the camera?

To maintain standards, Hanwha Vision uses the web UI for all knowledge base articles about product configuration. Open Chrome, enter the IP Address of your device into the URL bar, and press enter. If you are not using the web UI to configure your device, please refer to the user manual for your product.

Summary:
Certain fields in our hardware have max character limitations; please be aware of this when setting fields like the password field, which is masked and will not indicate visually when you are no longer allowed to type.

Step By Step Guide:

1. Open your browser

2. Enter the IP of your new/factory defaulted camera

3. Press Enter

4. Enter the new password for the admin account

    NOTE: When you access the product for the first time, you must register a password for the admin                          account
       - For a new password with 8 to 9 digits, you must use at least 3 of the following:                                              uppercase/lowercase  letters, numbers, and special characters
       - For a password with 10 to 15 digits, you must use at least 2 types of those mentioned
       - Special characters are allowed. : ~`!@#$%^*()_-+=|{}[].?/
       - For higher security, it is not recommended to repeat the same characters
          or consecutive keyboard inputs for your passwords
       - Admin and User Passwords are 8 to 15 Characters with conditions (Figure 1)

5. Click Apply

6. The camera will force you to log in with the new credentials

        - Product Information 8 characters
        - Settings 8 characters
        - Device Name 8 characters
        - Location 32 characters
        - Description 32 characters
        - Memo 32 characters
