Applies to Models: Hanwha network cameras. All form factors
Summary:
This article covers resetting a camera you are locked out of due to unknown credentials or being unresponsive in every other way, as well as resetting via the Web UI to wipe unwanted configuration settings from a camera.
IMPORTANT: The RESET button process will wipe all information. Only use this if no other option exists.
Step By Step Guide:
1. Hold down the RESET button for 5 seconds while the unit is powered on (not during bootup).
Note: Refer to the manual of your model for more detailed information of the reset button
location. The button is recessed and either blue or white in color.
2. Release the RESET button, and the unit will reboot on its own.
NOTE: This process will reset all of the settings in the camera, including defaulting the IP address to
192.168.1.100. If DHCP is present on the network, the unit will obtain an address automatically.
3. Open your browser and enter the camera IP address in the URL bar.
4. Press Enter.
5. Enter new credentials for the camera.
6. Click Apply.
7. Enter your new credentials and log in to the camera.
NOTE: No recorded information on the Micro SD cards will be lost but third-party applications in the Open Platform section will be removed by this process.
