To maintain standards, Hanwha Vision uses the web UI for all knowledge base articles about product configuration. Open Chrome, enter the IP Address of your device into the URL bar, and press enter. If you are not using the web UI to configure your device, please refer to the user manual for your product.
Summary:
This article will review some aspects of using the Multicasting feature of Hanwha Cameras. The function of multicasting is to put the job of distributing the camera streams onto the switch. This means your switch must support multicasting; otherwise, enabling this feature will accomplish nothing.
Step By Step Guide:
1. Open Chrome
2. Enter the IP of the camera into the Chrome URL bar
3. Press Enter
4. Provide the valid admin credentials
5. Click on the Gear icon at the top of the interface (Figure 1)
6. Select Basic (Figure 1)
7. Select the Video Profile you wish to multicast (Figure 1)

8. Scroll down to the Multicast section (Figure 2)
9. Enter a valid Multicast IP (Figure 2)
Note: Valid Multicast IP's range from 224.0.0.0 to 239.255.255.255
10. Enter a valid Port (Figure 2)
Note: The port range allowable is 1024 to 65534. Please be sure you are not using a port
already being utilized by some other device or service. Port 3702 cannot be used
11. Enter a valid Time To Live (TTL) (Figure 2)
Note: The default setting is 5
12 Click Apply (Figure 2)

Overview of Switch Settings:
This section will briefly touch on settings in a couple of switch models. Please refer to the manual of your switch manufacturer for proper settings.
Explanation of Behavior:
1. Log in to the Unifi portal on the Ubiquiti switch
Note: IGMP Snooping must be enabled on all network switches between the camera and
and the display device
2. Select Network (Figure 1)
3. Select the Default network (Figure 1)
