Precautions for upgrading clustered SSM servers

1. Model name
- SSM appliance product line (XRP Series, PRP Series), SSM SW

2. Purpose
- To s hare precautions for upgrading a clustered SSM server.

3. Precautions for upgrading the servers

1) Backing up settings in case of problems
- Path : Configuration Manager → System → Maintenance → Domain tab → Configuration backup
- It is possible to receive all clustered server settings at once

2) Pausing the Failover feature
- Path : Configuration Manager → System → Maintenance → Domain tab → Failover → Check ‘
- To prevent unnecessary failover operations due to incorrect recognition that the server is down                   during the upgrade
  ※ Not applicable if you are not using the failover feature.

3) Standard server upgrade sequence
- If you do not want to change the reference server (master server), upgrade the server marked with ★
   among the domains first.

4) Warning messages that may appear during upgrade

   
- A warning is issued when there is a software version mismatch among clustered servers during
  upgrade
- Automatic recovery will be supported once all servers have been upgraded and the software versions
   match Thus, no special action is required
