Description
- Since 2022, the menu for setting up events on P Series and X-Core/Plus cameras has changed from [Event Setup] to [Event Rules].
- However, other models (such as the Q-Core model) still use the Event Setup menu
Figure1. [Event setup] Menu
Figure2. [Event rule] Menu
- The [Event rule] have several features that the existing [Event setup] do not.
- So, I'll explain about it.
1. Boolean logic for Event trigger
Figure3. Event trigger
- User can select up to three event triggers for one event action.
- If multiple event triggers are selected, the selected triggers operate as an AND condition.
- For this reason, the action will only trigger if all the events trigger within the duration time.
Figure4. Example for Event Action
- In figure4 example, three events A, B, and C are selected as triggers and the Duration is set to 60 seconds.
- The event action will occur at the moment indicated by the orange arrow.
- In the case of the time when the gray arrow is displayed, the event action will not occur.
- Because both the event occurrence and duration conditions do not satisfy all the conditions.
2. Invert logic for Event trigger
- User can select invert for event trigger.
- Marking an inverted menu will trigger an action if that event does not occur.
- In Figure 3, the object detection is marked [Invert], so the action is triggered when no object is detected.
Figure5. Example for Invert
- You can use it to monitor the operation of a machine.
- For example, there is a camera with audio detection enabled, as shown in Figure5.
- And the camera is installed near the equipment that generates continuous sound when operating, sound above the threshold level will continue to be detected.
- If the device stops working due to an unexpected issue, The detected sound level will drop below the threshold as shown in Figure5.
- In this case, user can trigger the action by selecting [Audio Detection] for the event trigger and enabling [Invert].
