Outdoor camera built-in heater operating scenarios

• Some models of Hanwha Vision's outdoor cameras have a built-in heater, which can be controlled through the camera setup menu as shown below.

• This is effective when used to resolve blurred images caused by moisture on the lens due to the temperature difference between the outside and inside of the camera.
• The action of the heater depends on the ambient temperature of the camera, so it needs to be explained.

Root Cause & Resolution

• Depending on the outside temperature around the camera, it behaves in three different scenarios. The boundary has an approximately 5°C tolerance.

• Low-Range Temperature Case
  • Heater is always on
• Mid-Range Temperature Case
  • Heater is off. But User can manually activate via menu if needed.
  • Clicking on the [One time act] button will activate the heater for 30 minutes
• High-Range Temperature Case
  • Heater not working
  • The heater does not activate even when [One time act] is clicked.
