Summary

WAVE defaults to optimize connections to all registered devices. This article describes how to optimize the camera, and how to disable WAVE from managing cameras.

Disabling Camera Optimization

To disable camera optimization:

1. Open Wave Client.
   
   
2. Press Ctrl+Alt+A.
   
   
3. Uncheck the box next to Allow System to Optimize Camera Settings.
   
   
   

   NOTE: WAVE will not actively manage the camera streams. 
   This is only recommended for systems where you want to retain older 
   camera system settings.

4. Click Apply to save the change.

Disabling the Active Stream Management of the Camera

To disable the active stream management of the camera:

1. Open Wave Client.
   
   
2. Right-click the name of the appropriate camera(s) listed and select Camera Settings.
   
   
3. Click Expert tab.
   
   
4. Check the box next to Keep camera stream and profile settings.
   
   
   
   
5. Click Apply.
   

NOTE: All camera management is done in the camera; WAVE only pulls streams. 
This action should only be used on underperforming cameras or 
units with poor network performance.
