Summary
Using the DI trigger is useful to record using a manual button, such as in an interview room.
This action requires a switch wired to the DI port on the camera, either using its pigtail accessory or SPM-4210 on supported models.
Setting Up the DI Trigger
To set up the DI trigger:
Log in to WAVE.
Right click on the camera.
Select Camera Settings.
Select the Recording tab.
This camera is enabled for recording, but has an empty recording schedule.
Click OK to save and close this window.
NOTE: If your scenario requires multiple cameras to be recorded with the same DI event, repeat this step as many as needed.
Right click on the camera name, then select Camera Rules.
Click + Add to add a new rule.
For the trigger, select Input Signal on Camera. WAVE automatically filters it down to DI capable cameras when you click the camera list.
Click <Any Camera> to select the event source.
Under Action, select Camera recording from the drop-down menu.
NOTE: You can choose more than one camera to initiate recording.
Interval of action is instant, and Fixed duration is disabled to allow video to be recorded as long as the DI signal is alive on the source camera.
